Wire Business is for
The problem
Your best customers are probably strangers. They want to come back. They want to buy from you. They just need a little reminder, a reason to visit, or a nudge at the right time.
What if you could turn the people around you into customers who actually walk through your door?
What you get
Tools to get paid, know your customers, and run the business - in one place.

Add your team. Switch on only what each person needs - so the barista can help at the till and only you see the account.

Send an offer to new or existing customers - on your page, in their app, right after they pay, or as a notification.
See who buys from you, how often they return, and who buys from similar businesses but not with you. Habits you can act on - even when you're not behind the till.

Onboarding
We need your South African ID, and a proof of address in the business name. A utility bill, a signed lease, or a bank statement from the last three months.
We check it's you before you can take payments. It's the same check Wire already runs for a person.
If the business is registered, we need the registration documents. The name on them has to match the name you give us.
If you trade in your own name and you are not registered, send your ID, a proof of address, and a short note that you are a sole proprietor. You do not need a company to start.
Get paid
A customer can pay you in three ways.

Works on a card machine. They tap, insert, or swipe it like any bank card.
Recommended
The balance they already hold in the Wire app. Paying you moves it straight into your business balance.
An ordinary bank card. They do not need a Wire account.
Campaigns
A campaign is how you talk to people on Wire. Use it to bring regulars back through the door, and to give new people a reason to follow you and pay you.
A message, or an offer: cashback, an item, or a product discount. You can sponsor a prize. If you don't want to give anything away, send the message on its own.
On your profile, in their feed, in the rewards section, right after they pay, or as a notification.
It brings people back, and it gives new people a reason to come in. You still choose whether anyone earns anything.
What they see
Customers can follow your page and see what you post. When friends split the bill, they can tag your place, so their friends see your name. Nobody sees who paid you, or how much.
No. If you set nothing up, they just pay you.
They pay you the way they already do, like your card machine. Wire is for the customers who have it.
No. A phone, an iPad, or a computer is enough.
It lands in your business balance instantly, kept apart from your personal account. Withdraw it to any bank account, any time.
Customers scan their WireTag at the till for a discount. Other promos apply on their own. If you set nothing, they just pay.
Yes. Invite each person and switch on only the tools they need, like posting.
Yes. The money is held with a regulated bank. Wire is not the bank. We are how your customers pay you, and the bank holds the account under banking rules.
You get campaigns first, and more places to show them: your profile, their feed, right after they pay, and as a notification. Businesses that join later start with fewer.
